  • Johnny Curran & Roland Hanson (Trust and Security Engineers)
BugCrowd manages platforms where ethical hackers can legally discover and report vulnerabilities (bugs) in company systems, earning bounties for their findings.

🌐 A Deep Dive into Ethical Hacking

During their hour-long session, Mr. Curran and Mr. Hanson provided invaluable insights to our students on:
  • How penetration testing works in the industry.
  • The critical boundaries and processes of ethical hacking.
  • The importance of permission management when working with bug bounty programs.
They helped our students understand how the crowd-sourced ethical hacking model operates and, most excitingly, how Davies students can potentially earn real-world credit and bounties for discovering bugs and glitches in live production environments!

Thank you to Mr. Curran and Mr. Hanson for taking the time to inspire our students and connect their learning directly to professional opportunities!
