Davies' Annual Open House - Thurs. Oct 22, 5:30-7:30pm

8th-grade & 9th-grade students are invited to attend our Annual Open House at William M. Davies, Jr. Career & Technical High School on Thursday, October 22, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. The open house is an annual opportunity for current eighth-graders and ninth-graders with their families to tour the school and learn more about how Davies prepares graduates for college and future careers. Davies is a state-wide public high school offering standards-based academic studies and industry-endorsed technical programs.

Visitors can tour all of Davies’ technical programs or focus on the areas of their choosing. Programs offered at Davies include Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive Careers, Biomanufacturing Technology, Cybersecurity, Education/Childcare, Electrical and Renewable Energy, Graphics and Interactive Media, Health Careers, Hospitality Careers, and Pre-Engineering Technology. Academics, sports, and clubs can be found in the cafetorium.

At the open house, prospective students will also be able to register for a date to take an entrance exam, which is an admissions requirement for acceptance to Davies. Students who register may sit for an entrance exam in November and December. (Exam dates: November 7, 14, 21, December 5, & 12, 2026.) Registration will remain open online until all spaces are filled.

Approximately 900 students attend the school each year. Residents of Davies’ primary regional districts of Barrington, Bristol, Central Falls, Cranston, East Providence, Johnston, Lincoln, North Providence, Pawtucket, Providence, Smithfield, and Warren are encouraged to attend the open house event, as busing to/from school is provided. However, Davies accepts students from across the state, and all guests are welcome to visit and tour the school.

Davies Career and Tech is located at 50 Jenckes Hill Road, Lincoln. Parking will only be available at the CCRI Flanagan campus directly next door (1762 Old Louisquisset Pike, Lincoln, RI 02865) and a shuttle bus will take you to Davies. Please comment below with questions regarding the open house.
