Mr. Martin’s Pre-Engineering Bridge Challenge

Posted Date: 03/11/26 (02:00 PM)

Our 11th-Grade Pre-Engineering students in Mr. Martin’s class recently put their skills to the ultimate test with the annual Popsicle Bridge Challenge. This project pushed our young engineers to move beyond the classroom and into the lab, where they designed, built, and ultimately tested their structures to determine the crush ratio. It was a day of high-stakes testing, impressive weight-bearing totals, and plenty of structural "snaps."

We are proud to recognize the hard work and ingenuity of all our participants. Taking the top spot in 1st Place were Braedan Abac Monterroso, Alexander Boudreau, Sean O'Keefe, and Darien Pena. They were followed by Adriana Garzaro, Meggan Pereira De Jesus, and Lianne Serey in 2nd Place, with Xavier Diaz, Nelvin Montero, and Jacob Xajap securing 3rd Place.

Our 4th Place spot resulted in a tie between the team of Marley Lima Morais, Marlon Lima Morais, and Aidan Baptista, and the team of Joshua Malmberg and Madyson Lefebvre. Rounding out the leaderboard in 5th Place were Gabriel Barbosa-Garcia, Donovan Monteiro, Jerimiah Luciano, and Delontay DePaiva.

Congratulations to all our featured engineers for a fantastic display of physics and perseverance.
