Posted Date: 02/02/26 (07:30 AM)

Her role: As the Davies SkillsUSA State Officer, her mission is to represent the Davies community at the state and national levels by advocating for CTE and attending multiple leadership conferences throughout the school year. As one of two Davies Chapter reporters, she creates social media content and keeps the public informed about the accomplishments and events of Davies SkillsUSA.
Her SkillsUSA experience: This is her third year competing in SkillsUSA. She has participated in the Prepared Speech competition all three years, earning Gold at the Rhode Island state level for the past two years. These wins qualified her to compete at the SkillsUSA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This past year, she also attended national leadership conferences, where she advocated for CTE.
What does SkillsUSA mean to you?
Allyson: SkillsUSA means so much to me because it has given me the chance to advocate for myself and other students, while growing as a leader and competitor. Competing allows me to showcase my skills, learn, and push myself to improve. Being a State Officer allows me to use my voice for change. It is an incredible opportunity for CTE students, and I am truly honored to be a part of SkillsUSA.
