🎨 Davies Students Explore Art History and Ownership at RISD Museum! 🏛️

A group of students are gathered in an art gallery, looking at an exhibit.On December 10th and 12th, groups of Davies students enjoyed an enriching experience with a special tour of the RISD Museum of Art, led by Mr. Brennan!

Students explored a wide variety of pieces, spanning both contemporary and historical art. This hands-on opportunity allowed them to step outside the classroom and connect theoretical ideas to real-world context.

During the Tour, Students Discussed:

  • Composition: Analyzing how artists arrange elements.
  • Artistic Choice: Understanding the decisions behind the work.
  • Ownership: Engaging with critical discussions about art's history and provenance.
