2025 Providence Journal All-States Show | Davies' Team of the Year

Posted Date: 6/25/25 (6:00 PM)

The 2025 Providence Journal All-States Show celebrates Rhode Island’s top high school athletes with a night of recognition, inspiration, and unforgettable moments.

This year’s event honors more than 300 First-Team All-State athletes and awards Player of the Year honors to over 30 standout student-athletes across all three high school sports seasons. Held at the Providence Performing Arts Center and hosted by Providence Journal high school sports reporter Eric Rueb, the show continues a tradition more than 80 years in the making.

Special guest Clay Holstad, midfielder for Rhode Island FC, joins the event for an in-depth conversation about the importance of high school athletics, leadership, and his own journey through the sport.

A featured highlight of the night is the incredible story of Davies Football. After graduating the state’s top offensive player and starting their program just six years ago, Davies captured its first Division IV state championship and was named the Providence Journal’s 2025 Team of the Year. Under coach Henry Cabral, the Patriots’ transformation from a winless debut season in 2019 to champions in 2024 stands as a testament to resilience and growth.

The full show includes award presentations, exclusive interviews, and the energy of Rhode Island’s vibrant high school sports community.

All winners are listed on the Providence Journal Website.
