📣 Congratulations to Our 2025-2026 Davies District Teacher of the Year: Hilda DeCarvalho! 🎉

Posted Date: 5/30/25 (11:00 AM)

Hilda DeCarvalhoAfter receiving and carefully reviewing eight exceptional applications, Davies has selected our 2025-2026 District Teacher of the YearMrs. Hilda DeCarvalho!

Mrs. DeCarvalho is a dedicated member of our English Department whose teaching philosophy centers on creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired. Her impact extends far beyond her subject area. She serves as the Class of 2025 Co-Advisor and the school’s Mentor Coordinator, helping to foster meaningful connections between new and veteran educators.

This year, Mrs. DeCarvalho took her expertise even further by collaborating with the CTE Academic Integration cohort, co-teaching interdisciplinary lessons in both hospitality and automotive mechanics. She also piloted Turnitin.com and co-developed professional development sessions to support faculty growth.

Mrs. DeCarvalho is always seeking new ways to grow as an educator and to support our students, staff, and school community. Her dedication, innovation, and leadership make her an outstanding representative of Davies, and we are excited that she will go on to represent our school at the state level among fellow Rhode Island educators.

We also want to thank all the teachers who submitted applications this year. Your passion and commitment are what make our community so special.

Please join us in celebrating Ms. DeCarvalho on this incredible and well-deserved achievement!
