🌟 Poets Visit Davies to Inspire and Prepare Students for the Stage! 🌟

Last week, Mr. Fox welcomed two incredible teaching artists, Marlon Carey and Kate Lohman, who brought their expertise in theater, poetry, and performance to help our students prepare for the upcoming poetry competition. 🎭📜

Throughout the session, Marlon and Kate worked with students to master the essentials of a powerful performance, including:

🎙️ Voice projection and command
🕺 Physical presence to captivate an audience
🎭 Using tone and emotion to convey the depth of their chosen poems
To cap off the day, our talented students performed their poems in front of their peers and received valuable feedback from both the teaching artists and their audience. 💬
